At the Present with OneFi Technology as a Chief Technology Officer CTO development of new technology of WiFi WiMax networks.
Al Omran Ph.D.
worked as a Fiber-Optics Transport Network Architect
Al Omran's accomplishments include being a Senior Member of Technical Staff at SBC Telecom & Bell Lab.
- SONET Transport Network Architect who constructed the SBC-Williams Optical Submarine Cable Under-sea network, which was between main lands China, to landing point in San Louis Obispo California.
- Expertise on mathematical method of Conjugate Structure Algebraic Code Excited Linear Prediction (CS-ACELP) for Data, Voice compression to be transported by Data Packets over Satellite Networks.
- For TRW Systems, Al Omran developed the Satellite interfaces to transport capacity of 622 Mb/s.
-Developed ATM interface over Satellite network, Convolutional Inner Code with Reed-Solomon outer Code.
That called an Open Channel coded and modified data encapsulation for ATM protocol and designed specific for Satellite networks.
Designed Programmable Forward Error Correction (FEC) Viterbi, and Reed Solomon. Data encapsulation over AAL1, AAL2, AAL5 for ATM Protocol.
Design and development of Sat. Router using TCP/IP over Satellite protocols to serve number of remote access networks. Using Multilink PPP (Nixdorf).
- In mid 80’s during his 5 years with Pac-Tel Cellular, Al Omran managed R&D projects that supported the various types of cellular switches TDMA, CDMA sponsored by QualCom Corp. Designed Cell equipment that gauges Cellular signal strength.
- SS7 Technology
- Integrate and developed ISDN interface Basic Rate, UNI, NNI, and Primary Rate between cellular switches and Pac-Bell Telephone Switches.
