POSITION SUMMARY

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the various Core Applications Development Team Leads in the Andover, MA R&D center, supporting the day to day operations with product development activities, services, development and project teams focused on specific BlackBerry-related product releases.

This person must be flexible and creative to assist and support the Core Applications Development Leads in all functions as required as they may occur. This person must be a team player with a focus on customer service / relations with the ability to work with senior management and cross-functional teams and levels as required. The successful candidate will be a high performer who delivers more than what is expected, works with minimal supervision, who provides excellent service by understanding the groups needs, enthusiastically supporting change management, taking responsibility and actively seeking new challenges.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate’s responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with daily business operations in order to maximize the team’s productivity
• Proposing and implementing group process improvements and changes
• Liaising with software and other RIM business units such as Executives, Senior Management, Project Management, Product Management, and others as needed
• Tracking of engineering schedules including technical reviews and milestones
• Organizing and coordinating group and individual training
• Assisting the team with the co-op and full-time hiring process

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• College Diploma or University Degree
• 2 or more years of experience working in a fast paced business or similar environment
• Excellent organizational and time-management skill
• Keen ability to identify areas in need of improvement and suggest a successful action plan
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally at all levels
• Ability to present information in a clear and concise manner both verbally and in writing
• Independent work ethic to bring tasks to completion
• Ability to learn in and adapt to an unfamiliar environment
• Strong analytical and computer skills; working knowledge of Excel, Outlook, Word, Project, PowerPoint
• Experience in coordinating multiple projects and responsibilities simultaneously an asset
• Previous research and development and product development service experience an asset
